 Faculty | Stephen Parente is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Healthcare Management at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He earned his Ph.D. in healthcare finance and organization at Johns Hopkins University, a master of public health degree from the University of Rochester, NY, School of Medicine and Dentistry and an M.S. in public policy analysis from the University of Rochester, NY. Parente holds joint appointments in the doctoral program in health services research at the School of Public Health and in the health informatics graduate program at the School of Medicine, both at the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on the healthcare delivery system and he has been published in a number of leading academic journals. Parente teaches graduate-level courses in health information technology.
