John D. Kammeyer-Mueller
'02 PhD

John received his PhD in HRIR from the Carlson School in 2002. He now sits on the faculty of the Warrington College of Business Administration at the University of Florida, where he teaches courses in human resources management and organizational behavior.

His research focuses on individual differences, how employees are socialized into their work environments, and the ways employees develop relationships with others at work. He has published in journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and the Journal of Vocational Behavior.

“The HRIR program provides all students with the research skills necessary for academic work, with especially strong training in statistics and research design,” John says. “I was fortunate to have some great experiences with HRIR faculty in this regard. The coursework was rigorous and intellectually stimulating, and helped me understand where my interests were. The coursework also gave me the tools to communicate these interests in a way that could be useful or informative for other people.”
