Degree Completion

Students must complete the MA-HRIR degree, including the final oral examination, within 10 years. This period begins with the earliest work completed for the official degree program, including any transfers. After 10 years, students are not allowed to complete the degree.

Students who have not registered in the University of Minnesota Graduate School for 1 year are considered to have withdrawn. Those who wish to resume graduate work (or schedule a final oral examination) must request readmission on the Change of Status form, pay a $55 reactivation fee, register for at least 1 credit, and pay a technology fee.
