Fundamentals of Federal Income Tax (ACCT 5135 or equivalent) is a prerequisite for all required and elective tax courses. A basic tax course, ACCT 5135 introduces the student to the fundamental principles of taxation. Students who have taken an introductory, undergraduate-level course in taxation already may have fulfilled this prerequisite. Students may be admitted to the MBT degree program before completing this course. The accounting department offers ACCT 5135 in their day and evening programs.
