Becky Roloff

Becky Roloff is the chief executive officer of the YWCA of Minneapolis. In her First Tuesday speech, she will discuss “Lessons To Share: The Journey from Corporate to Non-Profit Leadership.”

 

Roloff is responsible for leading the strategy and operations of the YWCA of Minneapolis’ six divisions: Health and Fitness, Early Childhood Education, Girls and Youth, Racial Justice, Public Policy and Women’s Wellness.

 

Formerly she was the senior vice president of Global Financial Advice and Systems and a member of the senior leadership team at American Express Financial Advisors. Before joining American Express, she was with the Pillsbury Company. She began her career there as a commodity buyer and held various leadership roles. Prior to Pillsbury, she was a grain merchant for Cargill.

 

Throughout her business career, Roloff has received recognition for her ability to be a caring and results oriented leader who works with people, not over them, to achieve success for the organization she is leading. She was recognized on the cover of Business Week as one of the nation’s “Fast Track Kids” at age 32. She has been featured in other publications including Business Ethics, Industry Week, Distribution, Women in Business, Minnesota Business, and the Minnesota Women’s Press. She received the New York City YWCA Academy of Women Achiever’s Award, the College of St. Catherine Outstanding Alumnae Award, Pillsbury’s Best Leadership Award, the Archdiocese Leading With Spirit Award, the Minnesota Lynx Community Assistance Award, and the Alexandrine Award given to women outstanding in their field by St. Catherine University.

 

Roloff has chaired the Board of Trustees of St. Catherine University, The Blake School, and The Children’s Theatre Company. She served as Governor for the CFP Board of Standards and on the board of Graywolf Press. She is the president of the Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable and a member of the Minnesota Women’s Forum, and the Greater Twin Cities United Way Women’s Leadership Council. Her non-profit community board service is dedicated to Ready for K, which works to ensure all Minnesota children have access to quality, pre-kindergarten education.

 

She serves as an outside board director for C.H.Robinson Worldwide, Inc. and Allina Hospitals and Clinics.

 

Roloff is a graduate of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota and holds a MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School. She and her husband Mark have two sons.
