Fifth Annual Women’s Leadership Conference to be held Apr. 10 and feature Gail Evans and Verna Cornelia Price


The Carlson School of Management will host the Fifth Annual Women’s Leadership Conference entitled “Leveraging the Power of You!,” on Friday, Apr. 10, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Coffman Memorial Union, University of Minnesota’s East Bank campus, 300 Washington Avenue S.E. Registration is due April 1.

Keynote speakers for the 2009 conference include Gail Evans, author of the book, Play Like A Man, Win Like A Woman, and Dr. Verna Cornelia Price, president and principal consultant, J. Cameron & Associates and JCAMA Publishers. These two vibrant leaders bring their expertise on personal leadership and successful navigation of today’s competitive workforce. Attendees will also participate in breakout sessions led by Carlson School faculty members and local business leaders on topics such as contagious leadership, positioning you for success in an economic downturn, effective social networking and leading a diverse workforce.  State Farm and Ecolab are the presenting sponsors for this year’s event.
