Part-Time MBAStudy Abroad

At the Carlson School, a global perspective is an integral part of every class. For students looking for a first-hand international experience, we also offer a variety of study abroad opportunities, including semester exchanges, summer programs, and flexible short-term electives designed specifically for those unable to travel for an extended period of time.

Many Part-Time MBA students who work full-time take advantage of study abroad programs. In fact, a third of Part-Time MBA students participate in an international opportunity while they earn a degree.

And Part-Time MBA students make up two-thirds of all students who participate in global enrichment electives. These short-term programs are taught entirely in English and provide an intensive study abroad experience in just 2 - 6 weeks. Students earn 4 - 8 credits that apply toward fulfilling the requirements of the MBA degree.

Global EnrichmentElectives

Global Enrichment Electives are short-term programs designed for students seeking meaningful international experience, but who are not able to study abroad for an extended period of time. These programs are offered between the regular class sessions -- during winter break, May intersession, and summer session.
