During the first semester, students take coordinated core courses that introduce the functional and foundational areas of business. In the second semester, students use their newly acquired expertise to select elective courses and build their Professional Portfolios. These flexible advising tools help students choose courses, professional activities, study abroad programs, and other opportunities that best prepare them to achieve their career goals.

The Carlson School MBA program is flexible and can be tailored to students' professional interests.  Students gain an effective grounding in fundamental business knowledge - from theory to practical strategy - cross all management functions and a broad spectrum of industries.
