Executive MBAOnline Application

The first time you use the online application, you will need to create a guest profile for the University of Minnesota system. Be sure to remember your login and password because you can save your work and return to the application any time. The application requires you to provide general information about yourself and your current employer. You should be able to complete most of it without additional reference.

 

Academic History/Transcripts
In order to finish the online application, you don't necessarily need to supply complete details for every college and university you attended. Provide the name of each institution with as much information as possible, and we will complete and correct your record when your transcripts arrive. Transcripts from each institution you attended should be sent to the Executive MBA program. Once you have submitted the application, you will be able to check the status of your transcripts online.

 

Resume
You must submit a current resume that includes job duties, responsibilities, and accomplishments. Using a word processor, save your resume as a Rich Text Format (.rtf) document. The application will guide you through uploading your resume file. If you revise your resume before submitting the application, you may upload a new version over the old one.

 

Essays
Five essays of at least one page each are required. If you wish, you can also write an optional sixth essay to provide additional information you believe the admissions committee should review with your application. Using a word processor, save each essay as a separate Rich Text Format (.rtf) document. There are no requirements as to font size, line spacing, or margins. The application will guide you through uploading your essays. If you revise your essays before submitting the application, you may upload new versions over the old ones.

Recommendations
If you use the online recommendation system, you will need to provide email addresses for your employers. Please check with recommenders to make sure the automated request message our system sends will not be filtered from their email accounts as spam. An additional recommendation request can be sent if the first request is lost or not received. Once you have submitted your application, you will be able to check the status of your recommendations online.

 

If you choose not to use the online recommendation system, you may provide recommenders with paper copies of the form or direct them to the printable version online. This version may be printed and completed, or completed electronically and then printed. You may submit paper recommendations with your application or ask recommenders to submit them directly to the Executive MBA program. Please read the recommendation form for further instructions.

Application Fee
When you submit your application, you can pay the application fee by credit card or check. The system will guide you through the process.

Include transcripts and recommendations with your application, or have them sent directly to us. You can also direct recommenders to the printable version of the recommendation form online.
