Admission to the honors program is extremely competitive and all applicants must have excellent academic records and a history of high achievement.

Entering Freshmen
Admission to the honors program is made by invitation and is based on information found in individual student applications for admission to the University of Minnesota. Students invited to enroll in honors will be notified in the same letter that offers admission into the Carlson Undergraduate program. A separate application for honors is not required.

Current Students
Admitted students can apply for the junior and senior honors program by completing the application (PDF).  The deadlines to apply are October 1st for the Spring Semester and Febuary 1st for the next Fall Semester. 

Transfer Students
All junior transfer students will receive application instructions after notification of admission to the Carlson School. Sophomore transfer students should wait and apply to the junior and senior honors program in the spring of their sophomore year.
