Honors

 

UHP students are actively engaged inside and outside of the classroom throughout their four-year academic career. UHP students at all levels are expected to complete four Honors Experiences each year, including May term and summer.  For more information on what qualifies as an Honors Experience, please visit the University Honors Program at www.honors.umn.edu.

 

Students in Carlson who are invited to be part of the University Honors Program, will be advised by one academic advisor on both their Carlson as well as Honors requirements.  The following are courses an honors student may include as part of their experiences:

 

Freshman Year
ApEc 1101H – Principles of Microeconomics

ApEc 1102H – Principles of Macroeconomics

Math 1471H - Calculus

Writ 1401 – Freshman Writing (appropriate placement required for this course)

Psy 1001H – Introduction to Psychology

Mgmt 1001H – Contemporary Management

 

Sophomore Year

Acct 2050H – Introduction to Financial Reporting

Oms 2550H – Business Statistics

Students may wish to complete the Emerging Leadership Program in order to fulfill 2 of their Honors Experiences during their Sophomore year.
