Ask yourself the following questions:
- Where do I want to go?
- When?
- For how long?
- Do I want to study in English or a foreign language?
- What do I want to study?
- How independent do I want to be?
- Where am I in my academic program?
- Do I want an internship?
Attend a first step meeting offered by the Learning Abroad Center.

| STEP 2: Research & Identify Programs |

| STEP 3: Meet with an Advisor |
- Discuss programs that best match your academic goals.
- Petition coursework for application toward degree requirements, if necessary.
- Plan coursework in advance of studying abroad to make sure you stay on track for graduation.

| STEP 4: Apply & Prepare |
- Work with the partner office sponsoring your program to complete the application.
- Complete pre-departure planning steps (such as financial aid).
- Ask partner offices about scholarships.

STEP 5: Have a Great Trip
|
- Contact the study abroad partner office if you experience challenges that cannot be addressed by the overseas support services.
- Contact an advisor if you have registration issues or questions about how the classes count toward your program.

| STEP 6: Upon Return |
- Follow up with the study abroad partner office to make sure your overseas transcript is received and grades are recorded.
- Share your experiences with others.
