Networking & Wireless Computing

The Carlson School of Management provides wireless network coverage throughout both the Carlson and Hanson buildings. The network in the Carlson building supports 802.11a, b and g wireless standards. The wireless network in the Hanson building supports 802.11a, b, g and n wireless standards.  If you are a University of Minnesota student, staff, or faculty, and have a wireless network card that supports any one of these standards, you will be able to use the network. Users needing help can bring their laptop to the Carlson School Help Desk located in 1-148 to have it configured for wireless network use.

 


Get Help

The Service Center provides networking support for Faculty, Staff and Ph.D. students. This includes basic network connectivity troubleshooting ONLY to the CSOM network and the University Wireless network.


All requests and advanced issues are escalated to the CSOM Networking or University Network groups.
