Supply Chain Management

Supply Chain Management manages the flow of goods, information and services in order to deliver maximum value to the consumer while minimizing the costs of the flow. It is an integrative process across functions within a firm and between trading partners. It is also considered an essential strategy for product-oriented firms as they seek competitive advantage. The supply chain management major is an interdisciplinary major, combining coursework from Marketing and Logistics Management, Operations and Management Sciences, and Information and Decision Sciences.

NOTE: This major was revised in Fall 2004. All students who declare the major Fall 2004 or later must follow the new requirements.

Students pursuing the pre-Fall 2004 requirements are strongly encouraged to follow the new requirements and take OMS 3045, Purchasing and Supply Management, but may complete the old requirements if necessary. Please contact the Undergraduate Program Office for details on the old program requirements.
