Areas of Need

Gifts from alumni and friends fill a critical funding need, helping the Carlson School achieve the level of excellence expected of one the nation’s premier business schools. The State of Minnesota only contributes 10% of the total Carlson School budget, making support from alumni and friends essential. Here are some of the areas where gifts are most needed.

Ongoing Support:The Carlson School Annual Fund
The Carlson School Annual Fund provides the necessary flexible funds to meet everyday needs and maintain key school initiatives.

Supporting Students:Scholarships & Fellowships
Gifts to scholarships and fellowships allow the Carlson School to attract and retain the most promising business leaders of tomorrow.

SupportingFaculty
Top teachers and researchers are the lifeblood of the Carlson School. Your gifts ensure excellence through endowed chairs and professorships.

UndergraduateExpansion
To meet increasing demand for a business education, the Carlson School plans to expand its Undergraduate program to serve 50 percent more students by 2008. Currently, the Carlson School serves only 12 percent of students who apply, turning away many of the state’s brightest students, who then leave the state.
