• Pledges must be a minimum of $300 over the life of the pledge
• Pledges of $300 to $999 may be spread over 3 years
• Pledges of $1,000 or more may be spread over 5 years
• Amounts less than $250 will be accepted but must be made in the form of a cash donation

• Pledge payments must start by October 2008
• Payment plans may be monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.
• Annual pledge reminders can be mailed or emailed and the donor can suggested which month to be reminded.

Pledge payments may be automatically charged to a credit card or bank account using electronic funds transfer. Pledge payments may be made by enclosing a check made payable to the University of Minnesota Foundation with your gift form.

• Gifts of cash or pledges are both accepted.
• Corporate matching gifts are encouraged although they do not count towards a pledge. Corporate gifts are a great way for you and your company to support the Carlson School*
• You can defer minimum pledges of $1,000 (over the life of the pledge), not including matching gifts, for up to five years.

*Many employers match contributions. If you’re not sure whether your company or future employer matches gifts to the university, go to matchinggifts.com/umn or consult your company’s human resources department. You can either enclose a matching gift form with your pledge, or send a matching gift form from your employer at a later date. Your spouse’s employer may also have a matching gift policy to further stretch the impact of your gift.
