Description »

Hong Kong has long been an economic juggernaut and remains one of the least restricted economies in the world. Commonly seen as the historic meeting of East and West, the city has the cosmopolitan feel of major cities worldwide and students find themselves running from traditional open-air markets to chic European fashion boutiques as they soak in centuries of history and culture. The unique insights into the culture and nature of business build a competitive advantage shared by few professionals in the business world today.

HKUST is committed to providing a comprehensive business education focusing on developing the global perspective and international outlook crucial to succeeding today. Carlson School MBA and graduate students play a fundamental role in adding a dimension of cultural vitality to the classroom and campus life. Located amidst the sweeping natural beauty of Clear Water Bay peninsula in East Kowloon, the residence hall views on the water contend with those of a Caribbean cruise. But don’t believe us, take a virtual tour and see for yourself.

Hong Kong is the shining star of the rapidly growing Chinese economy. As one of the East Asian Tiger economies, Hong Kong far outpaces all other Chinese cities and some Western nations in GDP. The open and free economic market has established Hong Kong as a leader in international trade and finance and many multinational corporations have strategic headquarters on the island to increase access to all it has to offer. The bustling business environment is the ideal exposure for students preparing to enter careers in international business with a focus on emerging markets in the Far East.
