What if the class you want is closed?
For all classes add your name to the on-line waiting list. The Registrar for Full-Time MBA, Stephanie Nichols, will review the on-line waitlist and you will be advised by e-mail of your status on the list. The program office manages the wait list; do not approach departments or instructors for permission to add a course. Please note that the maximum number of credits you can wait list for in a term is 12.0 credits. If the course is a non-MBA course go to the department offering the class and add the class.
What if the class you want is asks for a permission number?
For all classes add your name to the on-line waiting list. This message usually appears because you are trying to add a section 90 class. The section 90 classes are reserved for Part-Time MBA students but Full-Time students can take these classes. If you are on a waiting list for a class, Stephanie Nichols will notify you in e-mail of the next steps that will be taken in order to secure you a seat in the course.
What if I want to change my classes?
To cancel or add courses you simply go back into the registration system (http://onestop.umn.edu/) and drop or add courses. You will want to do this prior to the start of classes. Make sure to review the key dates page to avoid extra fees.
Do I have to worry that my course maybe cancelled?
Yes, courses with less than 15 students enrolled in them may be cancelled. If your course is cancelled you will receive e-mail from the MBA Office (1-110). |
