Planning Information

  • As a final step before enrolling for classes make sure to make a grid of classes you want to take for the semester. It is helpful to include the course number, name, and class number on the grid.
  • Don't forget to plan alternate course sections in case courses are full.

  • Out of Program Credits:
    Outside credits non-dual degree students:
If you are interested in other courses (at the 5XXX or 6XXX) that do not appear on the spreadsheet you will need to fill out the "Petitiion For Full-Time MBA (Non-Dual Degre) Students Requesting Classes Outside of the Calrson School Full-Time MBA Program" to have courses approved.
Outside credits for students in dual degree programs: Students in a dual degree program may use 12.0 credits of transfer work indicated on the dual degree grid toward your MBA program. This means in addition to the 8.0 credits of graduate level transfer work allowed for MBA students, dual degree students are allowed an additional 4.0 credits of transfer work as specified in the dual degree planning document for a total of 12.0 credits of transfer work. The courses that can be used are already specified on the dual degree grid documents no additional classes will be accepted.

  • Please note that courses at the 8XXX level cannot be used towards your MBA program, the only exception is HRIR courses. Generally 5XXX courses will not count toward your degree program but these classes will: Acct 5101, 5102, 5125, 5126, 5135, 5160, 5180; MCOM 5500, 5110, 5520, 5530, 5540; and Mgmt 5019

  • Note that not all classes meet every semester, so plan your schedule carefully.

  • Not all classes have a section that meets in the day, this is due in part to enrollment numbers

  • Classes with less than 15 students are subject to cancellation by the dean's office.

Logistics

  • The tuition plateau is between 12 – 19 credits and 20 credits is the maximum you can take per term. If you plan to enroll for 20 please note that you will pay for the additional credit’s tuition.

  • If you are interested in Ugrad level courses (such as Physical Education or Arts courses) you can take these classes and have them count towards semester credit level. However, these classes WILL NOT count towards your 63 credits.
  • If you are accepted to an enterprise the Registrar for Full-Time MBA, Stephanie Nichols, will automatically add the enterprise course to your course list each semester. More info on enterprises in January.
  • To enroll for HRIR classes send a note to Stephanie Nichols, who will request a seat for you in the class.
  • Students interested in section numbers between 90 and 99 should add themselves to wait list in the registration system. Students will be notified of their status for these courses via e-mail. The e-mail will be sent once the Part-Time MBA students have concluded registration for the semester.
