Christine M. Bennett,Ph.D. Alum

Christine M. Bennett, a recent graduate of the marketing department's Ph.D. program, came to the Carlson School after earning her M.S. in marketing at Baruch College at the City University of New York.  Along with several other prestigious awards and scholarships Bennett has earned, she is a recent winner of the 2006-2007 American Marketing Association's Valuing Diversity Scholarship, which provided monetary prize to help in research for her dissertation, "A Theoretical Approach to Understanding the Impact of Accented Speech on Marketers' Efforts to Inform, Persuade, and Assist Consumers," advised by Professor Barbara Loken.  Bennett has accepted a position as an Assistant Professor at the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas.
