All students who participate in study abroad programs are eligible for University financial aid, including need-based aid and supplementary loans. Aid packages can cover a variety of costs, including tuition, room and board, travel, and living expenses.
To be considered for financial aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through the Office of Student Finance. Be sure to complete the application for the year in which you plan to study abroad.
After being accepted into a study abroad program, the International Programs office will complete your Study Abroad Cost Estimate (SACE) form. As an official statement of the costs associated with your international study, the University uses the estimate to determine your aid package.
The International Programs office can also provide you with an estimate of your specific financial aid package prior to applying to the study abroad program.
