An Institute for Research in Marketing speakers' series event
RYBAK AND COLEMAN REPOSITION MINNEAPOLIS AND ST. PAUL: TWO CITIES, ONE DESTINATION
At the culmination of three years of top tier marketing research, thousands of personal conversations, and the insightful input of business leaders and citizens, the mayors discussed this new marketing campaign bringing together the perceptions of the Twin Cities and the reality of all they have to offer. Mayors R. T. Rybak and Chris Coleman and their consultant, Meet Minneapolis, described the thoughtful and innovative research that underlies the strategic repositioning of the area. Participating in this discussion were Monica Little of Little & Co., the creative team behind the project, and Kathy Tunheim, of Tunheim Partners, one of the three communications companies driving this initiative.
Meet Minneapolis, Official Convention & Visitors Association, funded the research for the brand repositioning and brought together Padilla Spears Beardsley, Tunheim Partners, and Weber Shandwick to work with them to plan the repositioning effort. The creative components were developed by Little & Co.
The Institute for Research in Marketing leverages the cutting-edge academic research of the Carlson School's marketing faculty and an advisory board of practitioners from leading corporations to foster rigorous and relevant research that improves the science and practice of marketing.
