The McNamara Alumni Center, 200 Oak St. SE, is conveniently located on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota campus across University Avenue from Williams Arena. A copper and granite building, the Center is bordered by University Avenue SE, Oak Street SE, Washington Avenue SE, and Walnut Street SE.

The Alumni Center is on the edge of campus, just 5 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and 10 minutes from downtown St. Paul, and is easy to find and access. The Alumni Center offers quick access to 35W and I-94

Parking

• A circular driveway on Oak Street is available for drop offs. Please note that vehicles in the turn-around should not be left unattended while items are being unloaded. A volunteer can be asked to watch the vehicle or help to unload to make this process easier.
• Two handicapped parking spaces are available at the Center's Oak Street entrance.
• Reserved or valet parking can be arranged per your request.
• An underground tunnel connects the Center to the adjacent University Avenue Parking Ramp. The ramp is northwest of the Alumni Center. Please note: University Avenue is a one-way street heading east.

Employee contract lots adjacent to the Center may be available during the evenings at a cost determined by University Parking and Transportation. Please inquire directly with Event Management Staff.

Note: Directions below direct guests to the University Avenue Ramp and not the front entrance to the building.

From North Proceeding South on 35W

1. Take Exit #18, 4th Street-University Avenue exit.
2. Cross Fourth Street SE; go one block and turn left on University Avenue SE.
3. Drive 9 blocks to the University Avenue Parking Ramp on right side of street.
4. Take ramp elevator to tunnel or street level. Follow signs to the alumni center which is the copper building adjacent to the ramp.

From airport

1. Take I-494 west to I-35W north.
2. Take 4th Street/University Avenue exit (Exit #18).
3. Keep right at fork in ramp and merge onto University Avenue SE.
4. Drive 9 blocks to the University Avenue Parking Ramp on right side of street.
5. Take ramp elevator to tunnel or street level. Follow signs to the alumni center which is the copper building adjacent to the ramp.

From the east or west on I94

1. Take University of Minnesota/Huron Boulevard exit (Exit #235B).
2. Follow Huron Boulevard two blocks to Washington Avenue and turn left.
3. At second light, Oak Street, turn right.
4. Drive 3 blocks to 4th Street SE and turn left on 4th Street (one-way).
5. Drive 2 blocks to 18th Ave SE and turn left on 18th Avenue.
6. Drive 1 block to University Avenue SE and turn left on University (one-way).
7. Immediately get into right lane; drive 1-1/2 blocks to University Avenue Parking Ramp on right.
8. Take ramp elevator to tunnel or street level. Follow signs to the alumni center, which is the copper building adjacent to the ramp.

From downtown Minneapolis

1. Take Fourth Street east toward St. Paul.
2. Fourth Street becomes Washington Avenue.
3. Follow Washington Avenue across Washington Avenue Bridge, past Radisson Hotel on left. At Oak Street turn left.
4. Drive 3 blocks to 4th Street SE and turn left on 4th Street (one-way).
5. Drive 2 blocks to 18th Avenue SE and turn left on 18th Avenue.
6. Drive 1 block to University Avenue SE and turn left on University (one-way).
7. Immediately move into right lane; drive 1-1/2 blocks to University Avenue Parking Ramp on right.
8. Take ramp elevator to tunnel or street level. Follow signs to the alumni center which is the copper building adjacent to the ramp.
