Born five blocks from the Carlson School of Management, Adib Birkland remains a die-hard Minnesotan, completing his B.A. in psychology at the University of Minnesota and proceeding to the Ph.D. program in the HRIR department at the Carlson School of Management.

 

Adib's primary research interests are in the areas of personality, ethics, counterproductive work behaviors, and culture. Moreover, he has taught classes in selection and staffing, training and development, and organizational behavior. Adib's dissertation is a cross-cultural comparison of wrongdoing among senior leaders and executives.

 

He has presented numerous papers at conferences in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
