If you are unsure how to get an export of a citation from a UMN online journal, see
http://www.lib.umn.edu/site/refimport.phtml
You can have multiple accounts with Refworks (e.g. you could create another refworks account for a group project and give everyone the password, so that you are all collecting references for your group project)
In the Refworks area of the citation, use User1, User2 etc. to add your own notes and then you can search by special text-springs later.
You can pull up card catalogs from other Universities, e.g. Stanford by going to "Search" "online catalog or database."
Tools, Write-n-cite --- this is a plug-in that works with Microsoft Word. As you write your report you can add citations (e.g. Johnson, 2004), and it can generate a References list in various formats, e.g. MLA or APA style, built from the citations you insert.
The University of Minnesota is Refworks biggest customer, so if you don't see the output style you need, you can request an output style (e.g. if you don't see your output style, e.g. APA, send a request)... go to the bibliography page, and there is a link to "Request an Output Style"
