Schedule »

Pre-departure class sessions are MANDATORY. Please note the intensity of these pre-departure classes where 3 of these 4 classes will be conducted within a 1 week period. It is your responsibility to be present for ALL classes. Your fellow students depend upon your preparation and participation during these pre-departure classes and the trip abroad, and thus a major grading component for this course is participation. Reading materials (and some reading assignments) will be made available during the spring semester in advance of the first class where students will be expected to come to the first class prepared. In addition, the final coursework will be done during Summer Term after the program has ended. The coursework is not confined to the two-week overseas program. The academic load is strenuous and we encourage students to plan their schedule accordingly.

The overseas program starts in Oslo with an orientation, city tour, and welcome dinner. Students will meet with executives from organizations like the Nobel Peace Institute, Statoil, and Telenor. Students will then travel to Stockholm for visits with companies like IKEA, H&M, and Ericsson. In Copenhagen students will meet with leaders at organizations such as Copenhagen Centre, Novo Nordisk, and Lego. There will be a city tour in each location. This program has a demanding schedule and academic standards are high. (Specific companies listed are tentative.)
