“I’m big on study abroad,” says Pankti, a buyer for Target. Pankti experienced business from a European perspective in Brussels and London, where she studied ethics and corporate social responsibility. “I loved the experience,” she says. “We visited companies like Nike, ING, and Cadbury/Schweppes and heard their views on philanthropy and corporate responsibility.”
Pankti also participated in a live case project in China, collaborating with students from the university in Shanghai on marketing research for Dairy Queen. “The differences in lifestyles and business processes—it was just incredible,” she says. Pankti, a Michigan native, says she had considered many schools. “I was looking for a smaller program, one that had more collaborative learning and teamwork.” After visiting the campus and talking with several professors she says, “that clinched it for me.” |
