Christopher Luxon,Unilever PHC

Chris Luxon, Regional Vice President, Deodorants and Grooming, joins the Institute for Research in Marketing’s advisory board as the representative from Unilever. Luxon has been a key architect of Unilever’s deodorant and anti-perspirant success in the United States, moving Unilever from the #5 position in that category ten years ago to a market leadership role today. One of the youngest Vice Presidents ever appointed by Unilever, Luxon has been named among Advertising Age’s “Top 40 Marketers Under 40.” In 2006, his team won the One Show “Client of the Year” Award as well as the Clio “Advertiser of the Year.”
 
At Unilever, Luxon’s primary responsibilities are leading category and brand strategy, developing world class brand communication, delivering market-winning innovation, working with consumer insights, and leading a team of 150 cross-functional professionals. He is also a member of the Global Deodorants and Grooming Leadership Team which directs Unilever’s $4b global business and drives their brand development and sits on the Americas Regional Operations Leadership Team.
