The Immersion Core is one of the signature experiences for students in the Carlson School’s Undergraduate program.
Taken in a block schedule with the same group of students for the entire semester, the I-Core includes Mktg 3001, Fina 3001, Mgmt 3004, and OMS 3001. The program is based on the MBA model of education and provides a more coordinated experience for students as well as an opportunity for faculty to collaborate and manage course expectations.
Students in the Carlson School will take the Immersion Core during the spring term of their sophomore year. Junior transfer students may also enroll in it if they have not already completed one of the four courses prior to their transfer.
Students will enroll in one section of BA 999, consisting of 12 credits/4 courses. The immersion core is meant to be completed as a cohort – there is no option to mix and match the sections.
Students should work in a fifth course of their choice to round out their registration for the semester.
Acct 2050 Financial Accounting and OMS 2550 Business Statistics must be completed prior to enrolling in the I-Core.
