The Academic Advising staff is here to support and enhance your MBA program experience at the Carlson School of Management by providing comprehensive academic advising and offering you the opportunity to engage in a collaborative relationship that can help you make informed, responsible decisions.

You can work with an advisor to:

  • Develop your academic plan based on your individual interests and objectives.
  • Answer questions you may have about the program or which courses to take.
  • Understand how to incorporate the tools, resources and opportunities available to strengthen your program experience.

Monday: 8:00am - 5:30pm (Walk-ins Only: 2:00pm - 5:00pm)

Tuesday, Wednesday: 10:00am - 6:30pm

Thursday, Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

M.A.P. Meetings- Meet. Act. Prepare.

The GBCC and MBA Program Office are pleased introduce a new appointment opportunity.  Part-Time MBA students can now conveniently meet with both a Career Coach and an Academic Advisor in one evening.  These M.A.P. meetings will be dedicated to individual career and academic planning.  The first appointment will be with a Career Coach for 30 minutes, followed by an appointment with an Academic Advisor for another 30 minutes.

 Meet.

Make initial appointments for consecutive advising sessions with a Career Coach and an Academic Advisor to discuss your goals and objectives for the MBA program.

Act.

Work with the Coach and Advisor individually to develop action plans for your career and academic plans.  Determine which workshops and courses align with your defined objectives.

Prepare.

Review and modify those plans periodically, making follow-up appointments as desired.  Leverage the opportunities and resources available at Carlson to strengthen your program and prepare you for success.

Call or email B. Bea Rajsombath, Associate Director of Academic Advising.  Please identify that you would like to schedule a M.A.P. Meeting.  Appointments are available from 4:30pm to 5:30pm or from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.  The first appointment at 4:30pm or 5:00pm will be with a Career Coach.  The second appointment at 5:00pm or 5:30 pm respectively, will be with the Academic Advisor.  Below are the current dates set aside for M.A.P. meetings.

Meet B. Bea -Associate Director of Academic Advising

B.Bea

B. Bea is an alumna of the Carlson School, earning her MBA through the Part-Time Program.  She also received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked at the Graduate School of Education and the English Language Programs at Penn.  Before returning to academia, B. Bea has also managed a number of restaurants for her family and spent over 8 years in corporate as an analyst across various industries and functions, from storage networking to HR implementation to Hotel brands.
