The GBCC offers a mock interview program for all graduate students. This program gives students the opportunity to conduct a practice interview with a career consultant and receive immediate feedback on their interviewing skills. Mock interviews take place in the fall and are required for all 1st year students before they participate in on-campus interviewing.
 

Some of the areas that career consultants evaluate include:
• Impact of the candidate's "story" or positioning statement
• Candidate's knowledge of the company and the position
• Candidate's ability to respond to behavior-based questions
• Candidate's ability to articulate strengths and areas for development
• Candidate's skill in stating his/her competitive advantage, i.e. "Why should we hire you?"
• Quality of the questions asked by the candidate
