In order to stay on track toward timely graduation, all students in the Carlson School are expected to meet the following progress standards by the end of their freshmen and sophomore years. Students who fail to meet these standards will be asked to meet with their adviser to make a plan for getting back on track.
Freshmen Progress Standards:
- Complete 30 credits by the end of the year
- Complete microeconomics, macroeconomics, calculus, first year composition, and MGMT 1001 with a C- or higher
- Meet with your adviser each semester
- Attend an IE (International Experience) 101 session
- Earn a 3.0 cumulative GPA by the end of the first year
Sophomore Progress Standards:
- Complete Acct 2050 and OMS 2550 with a C- or higher and BA 3000 (fall semester)
- Complete the Immersion Core (spring semester)
- Declare your major
- Attend the “Challenge” group meeting (fall semester)
- Meet with your adviser once during the academic year
- Continue planning your international experience
