STUDENT BLOGGER: Matthew Hanzlik
Matt Hanzlik is a rising senior at the Carlson School of Management double majoring with honors in Public/Non-Profit Management and Entrepreneurial Management. Matt is working on research to identify factors that encourage entrepreneurship in the life sciences industry in Minnesota. Matt is excited to study entrepreneurship across industries in China, and hopes to apply what he learns to his research back in Minnesota. In addition to school, Matt is currently serving as the National Advocacy and Government Affairs Chair for the Student Society for Stem Cell Research. Matt loves being a Gopher, and is excited for Gopher football to come back on campus in the fall.

Hello, I am a junior marketing and finance major from Worthington, MN (southern part of the state). I love to travel and have been to some pretty cool places including two weeks in Paris and Bordeaux, France last may as well as multiple locations in Mexico. I also work part time in corporate travel consulting at Carlson Wagonlit Travel. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, water sports, snow skiing and having a good time!

I am currently a junior studying Marketing and Finance at Carlson. I did an internship with Cargill last summer in Sidney, OH working with their merchandising team in commodity origination and economic analysis. I will be joining their Risk Management division as an intern this coming summer working again with commodity markets and risk management products. In my free time, I enjoy running, making scrapbooks, going on vacation, and spending time with friends and family.
