Book of Lists
This annual publication produced locally by the Business Journal Lists of the top companies within a variety of industries. Some examples of the lists include: Fastest-growing Small Public Companies, Minneasota-based Multinationals, Venture Capital Firms, and Women-Owned Businesses. other major cities are also available.


Career Information Guides
The BCC has published several books titled the Career Information Guides which take a comprehensive look at careers in areas such as Marketing, Accounting, MIS, and several others. These guides give you detailed information about salaries, sample job descriptions, and interview preparation. These are especially good resources for students who are contemplating various majors or emphases to help you get an idea what jobs are available in each field.


Company Files
Most companies that recruit on campus have a "keep and take" file. These files contain company information such as annual reports, position descriptions the company is recruiting, and a listing of company benefits.


Corporate Fact Book
This lists the companies in the non-profit, public, and private section in the upper Midwest. Some of the information includes company addresses, listing of management, and company descriptions.


Computer Lab
The UBCC has five computers, and the GBCC has three computers, all of which areset with Internet Access and Microsoft Office.


CD-ROM's
The BCC has several CD-ROM's in the office pertaining to job searches. See our front desk for more information.


Job Bank Books
These book series lists industries in a number of states. Most listings contain company descriptions, addresses, and positions they are currently recruiting. Some industries include:

  • Health Care
  • Engineering Firms
  • Finance

Some of the feature cities include:

  • Minneapolis-St. Paul
  • Milwaukee
  • New York
  • San Francisco

Videos
The BCC has a variety of videos to help you with your job search and career development. We have videos on networking, job search strategy, case interviewing, and offer negotiation. We also have on tape: Careers in Majors Workshop series. Some of the majors include:
