Good planning is essential to completing a project effectively. One of the biggest and most important projects you’ll undertake during your time in school is your career search – so it deserves a thoughtful plan. The Career Plan Parts 1 and 2 were developed to help with this process.
To compete nationally, graduate business students need to be knowledgeable about industries, companies, types of positions desired, and what employers are looking for. Start planning in the first semester of your first year in order to give yourself the best career options.
The career planning process involves four steps:
1)Clarify your career goals
2)Describe your professional objectives
3)Define your target market
4)Develop your action plan
Use the Career Plan Parts 1 and 2 to help develop your plan. The more detailed and specific information you have for each step, the easier it will be to follow through with your career search. The GBCC is committed to helping students increase their career management knowledge and develop an effective search plan.
