Phil MillerPhil Miller is an experienced business leader, educator and coach. Phil leads the Carlson Consulting Enterprise, an innovative MBA program delivering applicable professional experience to students by solving “real world” problems for consulting clients. He also teaches undergraduate, MBA and executive education classes on management and critical thinking. He is passionate about his students’ personal and professional development.

Prior to joining the Carlson School, Phil worked at 3M where his responsibilities included managing a global business, leading an internal corporate venturing opportunity and co-leading 3M’s corporate Strategic Business Development group. Phil also worked for Ernst & Young’s management consulting practice where his clients ranged from Fortune 10 global businesses to start-ups across multiple industries. His experience included enterprise level strategy, process improvement and technology issues.

In each role Phil has been responsible for developing and implementing analytical tools and frameworks to assist in clear, fact based decision making as well as professional and career development for MBA and undergraduates.

An MBA graduate of the Carlson School of Management with concentrations in Strategy, Marketing and Operations; Phil also holds an MA in History from the University of Oklahoma and a BA in History from Rice University.
