Advising
We encourage you to meet with an adviser to learn more about program selection, financing the international experience, the application process, and developing a strong application.
Afternoon Walk-in Advising
You can meet in person with an Education Abroad adviser without an appointment Monday to Thursdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. during fall and spring semesters.
Evening Walk-in Advising
You can meet in person with an Education Abroad adviser without an appointment Monday evenings from 4:00 - 5:45 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. All students are welcome, but PT-MBA students have priority during this time.
Advising Appointments
To meet with an adviser outside of these times by phone or in-person, please contact cgi@umn.edu to schedule an appointment.
Online Profile
To help us prepare for your advising appointment, you will be asked to complete the online profile. You may complete the profile at home in advance, or on one of the Carlson Global Institute laptops. Allow approximately 10 minutes to complete the online profile.
Location and Hours
Carlson Global Institute is located at 2-210 Carlson School of Management.
Our office is open Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
