Conflict is a critical and inevitable part of organizational development and change. Effective leadership requires an in-depth understanding of the nature of conflict and the ability to interact and engage in conflict in intentional and effective ways. While managing conflict is challenging for any leader, it is particularly so for women. Our approaches to conflict are impacted by a number of factors including gender socialization and cultural differences. This interactive session will specifically focus on increasing women leaders' ability to develop “conflict fluency” across gender and diverse cultural contexts.

What you will gain

  • A deeper understanding of how to name, frame, and tame conflict
  • The ability to identify and recognize your own and others' conflict styles
  • A framework to identify differences that “make a difference” such as gender, race, ethnicity, and culture in managing and resolving conflict
  • Skills for bridging conflict styles in cross gender and intercultural contexts
