VEMBA Admissions

Students in the Vienna Executive MBA (VEMBA) program possess a wide variety of work and academic experiences and a wide range of professional aspirations. The goal of VEMBA is to recruit high quality students based on a variety of criteria that measure each candidate's demonstrated abilities as students, managers, and leaders.

Due to the caliber of the program and the success level we require of our students, the selection process is highly competitive and space is limited. Applicant Evaluation Criteria

Below are some of the measures we use to evaluate the quality and ability of VEMBA applicants to help you assess whether this program is the right fit.

Quantitative Measures

  • Past academic performance
  • Satisfactory score on the Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for applicants who were educated at institutions where the primary language was not English

Qualitative Measures

  • Professional experience of at least five years or significant experience in a managerial position
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Background in math and economics and a basic knowledge of computers (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) prior to entering the program
  • Proven assumption of management responsibility and achievement of measurable results (leadership in community service and professional organizations is also considered)

Application Requirements

In order for your application to be considered complete, you will need to submit:

  • A personal essay
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • An organizational sponsorship form
  • Official bachelor's degree transcripts
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score
  • Current resume or curriculum vitae
  • Two photos
  • Application fee

You will also need to be prepared for an admission interview.
