At the Carlson School, we take an individualized approach to helping each student develop a sound career strategy. From the dean's office to program directors, faculty, executive boards, student organizations, and the Graduate Business Career Center, we work in concert to help students reach their professional goals.
University of Minnesota MA-HRIR students have excellent career opportunities that are truly national in scope. Many corporations and agencies visit the Carlson School to recruit MA-HRIR students for management and labor relations positions in the public and private sectors. Our full-time placement rate is over 90% for students with permanent work authorization.
Many part-time students use the MA-HRIR degree program to advance their careers within their current organization. In addition, students looking to make a career switch into HR, or to switch employers, can utilize the Carlson School's Graduate Business Career Center, which helps students develop a job search strategy, and provides resume review and mock interview opportunities.
