Barbara Mowry, senior vice president of Oracle Corporation's Data Integration Division, will deliver the keynote address, "A Day in the Life of Innovation," at the next Carlson School of Management's "1st Tuesday Speaker Series" on February 1 at 11:30 a.m. in the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center.
Before joining Oracle in January 2010, Mowry served as president and CEO of Silver Creek Systems. Her extensive executive experience has included such roles as chairman and CEO at Requisite Technology, and senior officer for both Comcast (TCI) and United Airlines, as well as involvement in entrepreneurial endeavors where she founded companies and raised significant venture capital.
She has spearheaded the launch of new products and patented technologies, and developed pioneering solutions such as the Mileage Plus program for United Airlines. She is a member of the Committee of 200, an invitation-only organization comprised of the world's most successful women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.
Mowry holds a bachelor's degree from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and an MBA from the Carlson School.
