Welcome to our New Director of Student Affairs
Dan Bursch has accepted the position of Director of Student Affairs for the Carlson Full-Time and Part-Time MBA Programs. Most recently, Dan has served as the Senior Associate Director of Admissions for the Carlson MBA Programs. As Director of Student Affairs, Dan will provide management in the areas of course scheduling, registration, academic advising and student clubs and organizations. Prior to joining the MBA Program, Dan served as the Admissions and Recruiting Coordinator for the University of Minnesota's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dan has an undergraduate degree in Business, Economics and Music from Western Michigan University. Dan will begin his new position on September 21.

MBA at the Twins Game! Friday, September 18
Join your MBA classmates to see the Minnesota Twins take on the Detroit Tigers, on Friday September 18. Tickets for students and guests are $12 which include a great seat in Section 229 and a private meeting Kevin Smith, Executive Director of Public Affairs and Executive Director of the Twins Community Fund. International Photo Contest Photos Due by September 9, 5:00 p.m.
The annual International Photo Contest is underway for all Carlson students, staff and faculty. Individuals can submit one digital photo for each of the three categories: Cultural Interaction, Stunning Landscape/Cityscape, and No Words Can Describe. MBA Register, Stephanie Nichols Fall 2009 Schedule
Beginning Monday, September 14, Stephanie Nichols will be in the office for Full-Time student inquiries on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 - 5:00 p.m. She will not be in the office on Mondays of Fridays. Stephanie will return to regular business hours on November 23.
Three New Workshops to Assist with Business Research
The MBA Program Office is partnering with Wilson Library to deliver three new workshops in September to assist you in your business research. You can learn how to navigate effectively and efficiently across the many databases available, conduct research to prepare for an interview or gain company and industry intelligence to complete an industry analysis. Fall 2009 Paid Student Consulting Opportunities
Develop your skills, earn money and assist a community-based nonprofit organization or small business. The Office for Business & Community Economic Development, the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and the Carlson School of Management has partnered to offer two unique programs. These programs help nonprofit organizations, which serve Minnesota communities, as well as minority, woman or disabled-owned businesses. Fall projects will begin mid-September. Mock Interviews September 11 and September 25
Mock interviews are required for both 1st and 2nd year MBA's to participate in on-campus recruiting at Carlson. This year, we have set aside 2 days - September 11 and September 25 - as Mock Marathon days. Many of our corporate partners have volunteered to conduct these interviews. September Parking September Parking Updates
Due to events on the West Bank, the 21st Ave. ramp will have event-rate parking of $8.00 upon entrance on the evenings of September 16th, 17th and 30th.
