Edge On-Campus Recruiting Tips

As on-campus recruiting continues, the Undergraduate Career Center has a couple of tips for students using on-campus postings:

- Remember to check the Application Method. Many companies are requiring students to apply BOTH by The Edge and their company website.

- Do not rely 100% on Acceptance/Decline e-mails from The Edge. Remember to frequently check the "My Task List" on your Edge account homepage to see if you've been selected.

Helpful Information Session Tip:

Through On-Campus Interviews (most efficient option):
1. Search on-campus interviews using degree criteria
2. Once you click into an interview schedule, any linked information sessions will be viewable toward the top of the screen

Through Career Events:
1. Search for the event category Info Sessions
2. Click on a particular session and click on "View Employers"
3. Select "Search" on the next screen- it is unnecessary to enter criteria
4. Click on the company name that is returned
5. Within the company registration, all of the job postings that are associated with the information session will be listed.  The job descriptions will contain specific degree requirements

Green Biz: Did You Know?
Tuesday, October 20, 4:00 p.m. - Carlson School L-126

Recycling 1 ton of paper saves 17 mature trees, 7,000 gallons of water, 3 cubic yards of landfill space, 2 barrels of oil, and 4,100 kilowatt-hours of electricity - enough energy to power the average American home for five months. And, just 48% of office paper is recovered for recycling (EPA, 2008). Please consider this and take action! As our generation moves into the workforce we are capable of taking the initiative and making changes to decrease our environmental footprint. Please join Green Biz every Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. in Carlson School L-126 to learn more.
