Join the MBA Program Office in the Carlson Atrium for ElectiveFest. This is an excellent opportunity to talk to faculty about their classes, your interests and how the two may intersect. Learn about electives being offered for Spring 2010.

The Leadership Advisory Board offers Peer Advising
LAB members will be on hand to assist you with questions on course electives, course load balance, emphases, etc. based on their experience in the program.  We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. Students will be in breakout rooms 1-133 and 1-134 from 4:40 - 5:40 p.m. on the following dates:

The University is looking for students to give feedback on MyU Portal, your online connection to course information. Time commitment would be 4 meetings during the 2009-10 academic year. Application for Degree Form Deadline
If you are planning on graduating this December, you must complete the Application for Degree and submit it to the MBA Student Affairs office NO LATER than Tuesday, December 1 at 4 p.m. Please see the Graduation Page on our web site for more information on graduation and commencement.

Capstone Workshop Course, PA 8081 (7)
MBA students who wish to take this course for elective credit should first contact Melanie Boutell, Associate Director of Registration, at suexx004@umn.edu to request permission. The course is part of a project for the Twin Cities Regional Council of Mayors and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development on increasing economic competitiveness for the Twin Cities area. The course is based on the Microeconomics of Competitiveness course taught by Michael Porter of the Harvard Business School.  A description of the course is available here. .If you are interested in taking the course or want to learn more about it, contact Lee Munnich, Senior Fellow, at lmunnich@umn.edu or (612) 625-7357.

Marketing involves the potential for a number of different careers.  Marketing can encompass career opportunities in Product or Brand Management, Marketing Management and Marketing Research.  Some marketing positions are very close to sales while others set overarching marketing strategy.  Take advantage of this unique opportunity to hear first-hand from panelists about their career paths in Marketing.  Come prepared to ask questions and learn how to best position yourself for a Marketing role.

November Parking
Due to events on the West Bank, the 21st Ave. ramp will have event-rate parking of $8.00 upon entrance on the evenings of November 14, 19 and 24.   Also, for football games at TCF Stadium on November 7 and 14, event rate parking will be $10.
