Common Grounds
Common Grounds is an excellent organization for networking and leadership discussions, bringing together local professionals to discuss complex issues facing the private, public, and non-profit sectors.
Consulting Club
The Consulting Club strives to increase student awareness and understanding of the consulting industry and related employment opportunities.
Finance Club
The Finance Club is committed to fostering an education of careers (and the required skills) in the corporate finance and financial services fields.
GLOBE
The GLOBE is the student association for International Business, and is committed to fostering awareness, knowledge and understanding of international management and multicultural issues among Carlson School of Management students.
Graduate Volunteer Consultants (GVC)
GVC is an organization comprised of MBA & MA-HRIR students who are dedicated to providing free-of-charge business consulting services to non-profit organizations in the Twin Cities.

Microfinance Alliance
The Microfinance Alliance aspires to raise awareness of the importance of microfinance as a tool for poverty alleviation and community development both locally and internationally. MILI Student Association
The MILI Student Association is laying the foundation for a new set of global medical industry leaders by developing and promoting a sustainable network of professionals, providing opportunities and exposure to current topics in the industry, and creating avenues for successful transition into this field.
Operations and Supply Chain Management Club
The Operations and Supply Chain Management Club strives to gain a broader understanding of the opportunities, career paths, trends, and current burning issues in operations management, which it does through speakers, plant tours, discussion panels, faculty interactions, and other activities.

VenturesPlus exists to provide a lifetime of opportunities for Carlson School MBA students, alumni and supporters to generate, promote and participate in business ventures through the exchange of knowledge, experience and resources with each other and the global business community.

 


RESOURCE GROUPS
Asian Business Student Association (ABSA)
The ABSA is a support group providing social and educational resources for students of Asian descent at the University of Minnesota interested in business or business-related fields.
Black Graduate Business Student Association (BGBSA)
The BGBSA encourages a cohesive community for black students within the Carlson School. Members strive to provide students with academic support and networking opportunities via social networks, professional development and partnerships with corporate sponsors.
Compass (LGBT & Allies)
Compass provides networking and career opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students and their allies that work collaboratively to educate the Carlson School on LGBT issues in the workplace and the university community.
MBA Christian Fellowship
MBA Christian Fellowship is a non-profit and non-denominational Christian student group dedicated to actively trying to combine Christian faith and business.

The Carlson chapter of NAWMBA is dedicated to the education and promotion of women in business.
National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA)
The Twin Cities chapter of NBMBAA is dedicated to creating partnerships that result in creating intellectual and economic wealth in the black community.
National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA)
The Minneapolis-St. Paul chapter of NSHMBA strives to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development in order to improve society.
Net Impact
The Carlson chapter of Net Impact is part of a mission-driven network of over 5,000 leaders that helps members broaden their business education, refine their leadership skills, and pursue meaningful professional goals.
Toastmasters Club
Toastmasters provides a forum for all students, faculty, staff and alumni to learn to be a better speaker, thinker and leader.
