Delhi, in northern India is culturally, linguistically, and historically distinctly different from southern India, home to Bangalore.

Bangalore (Bengaluru) evolved into a hub for telecommunications, information technology, and softward, and is commonly referred to as the Silicon Valley of India. Bangalore accounts for 35% of India's software exports, and is home to prestigious colleges and research institutions. With India’s highest per-capita income, Bangalore is India’s fastest growing market.

Pre-departure class sessions prepare students for the overseas academic program by familiarizing them with the background and terminology of the course. There will be readings, assignments, and research during Fall Semester in preparation for the overseas program. In addition, the final assignment will be due during Spring Semester after the program has ended. The coursework is not confined to the two-week overseas program.  The academic load is strenuous and we encourage students to plan accordingly.

The overseas program starts with an orientation, city tour and welcome dinner. Students spend the first week in Delhi meeting with Indian governmental leaders and business executives from industries like network management services, high end R&D consulting, and call center services. Students fly to Bangalore to begin the second week of the program.

In Bangalore an introductory city tour is arranged for the students. The program continues to visit with business executives from companies like Infosys, Wipro, Target Services India, and Nokia.
