John Soebbing, a 1998 graduate of the Carlson School's MBA program, considers his time spent at Keio University as a defining moment in his education. He and his wife Rebecca have provided a $2,000 fellowship to assist a qualified student in a study abroad experience.

Award: 1 award of $2000. Students who are accepted to the study abroad program at Keio University in Japan will receive priority consideration; students accepted at other sites will also be considered.

How do you anticipate this experience will affect you in subsequent professional endeavors? What sort of unique challenges or experiences do you see becoming available to you via your academic immersion overseas?
Selection criteria:
This study abroad fellowship is open to U.S. citizens or those legally residing in the U.S. Preference will be given (but the fellowship is not limited to) those who study at Keio University in Japan. Only students who are accepted to the exchange are eligible for this award. Awards will be granted based on the student’s essay. All applicants will be notified of the status of the award in the fall of 2009 and awards will be placed on students account just before they go on the exchange. |
