Robert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and a Master of Science degree in Financial Management from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.

Robert’s work experience includes four years of corporate Human Resource experience leading HR support for a business line consisting of 10,000+ employees, located in 950+ branches across a 24-state footprint; 18 months of corporate financial analyst experience, providing financial analysis support to an Information Services department; and 20 years of combined US Navy and US Army service, which included various staff assignments in Finance and Personnel, and operational assignments as a helicopter pilot.

His research interests are compensation and benefits, and organizational behavior and theory. He taught three years as an Associate Professor of Naval Science in the University of Minnesota NROTC department.
