Technology andcomputers

Each PhD student receives a state-of-the-art Dell desktop computer, along with multiple software packages and manuals. In addition, laptops for student use (for making presentations or giving job talks) are available in the PhD office or through the Carlson School Information Technology help desk. Three PhD printing labs maintain specialty equipment, including a color printer and color scanner.


Training andsupport

The Office of Information Technology and the University Technology Training Center provide technical support and training for most software.

Software andmanuals

Through the PhD program and OIT, students have access to hardware and an extensive library of research and data analysis software and manuals, including SPSS, SAS, AMOS, Lisrel, and Scientific Workplace. The program also subsidizes the purchase of software not available for checkout, such as STATA.
