Donors must be at least 16, weigh at least 110 pounds, and present a photo ID at check-in. If you have traveled outside the United States in the past year or have other questions about eligibility to donate, call the American Red Cross nurse at 651-291-3885 before scheduling. National Association of Black Accountants - Central Recruiting Event
October 17-18, Detroit, MI
Deadline for Registering is September 25

The Twin Cities professional chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants has agreed to support accounting students of color to attend a Central Recruiting event in Detroit, MI during the weekend of October 17. The convention will have approximately 30 firms recruiting students for internships and full time positions. The chapter is reaching out to St. Thomas and U of M students in addition to students at Metropolitan State University. The deadline for registering for the event is September 25. Please contact Thad Stanley at Thad_Stanley@cargill.com from the professional chapter, and Mike Musa at michaelab_musa@yahoo.com who is a student at Metropolitan State.

The Engage! search is now available for Twin Cities students and gives undergraduate students an easy way to intentionally connect with meaningful experiences outside of the classroom. The search accesses Web sites that are directly related to engagement opportunities, such as learning abroad programs, student organizations, community involvement, undergraduate research, and others, so that students can use one search to explore opportunities from a broad range of sources. Students can tailor their searches to specific academic majors and disciplines, and to their other interests and goals.

Seeking SMART Learning Commons Tutors
$10.00 and hour

Flexible schedules are available, but most consultants work an average of 7 to 12 hours per week. An additional stipend will be paid for the initial mandatory pre-semester training in late August. Case Competition for Seniors in Texas, Arizona, and California
Register by September 22 in the Undergraduate Office Hanson Hall 2-190

Compete in the 2008 Carlson Senior Case competition on Friday September 26th for the chance to represent the Carlson School at one of numerous international case competitions. Locations include Texas, Arizona, and California. Travel expenses paid for by the Undergraduate Program office. Register in the Undergraduate Program office with a team of four by Monday September 22. Contact Brent Opall at opall001@umn.edu for more information.
